Hi ! I’m Zahra, one of Smilepod’s dentists. I’ve been working at Smilepod since 2017 but I’m a qualified dentist from Brazil since 2010. I’m a multitasking dentist who enjoys a variety of treatments!
Smilepod Holborn is great to work in – it’s such a central location and the atmosphere here is so calming and friendly. I love the control I have in my clients care. If I am seeing someone who needs more time I am able to extend their appointment so the duty of care is never compromised. I never have to rush so I always know I am always doing a good job.
I really like developing relationships with my patients. I like them to come back to see me and feel at ease. I believe that going to the dentist should be a nice experience rather than a traumatic one.
The key points for a good oral health are: cut down on sugar consumption, brush twice a day for two to three minutes, floss daily and go for regular check-ups as recommended by your dentist. Don’t postpone your check-ups because prevention is always easier – and cheaper – than treatment! And if you happen to choose me as your dentist, I’ll be here for you!
As soon as Ana graduated in 1991, she began to work in a private practice. In the same year, she joined the restorative dentistry team at the University of Ribeirão Preto. In 1998, she was made Professor of restorative dentistry at the University of Franca responsible for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Ana dedicated herself to teaching, practicing dentistry and working towards her postgraduate qualifications.
In 2007 she moved to Portugal , where she continued to work with a focus on restorative dentistry, having the opportunity to lead hands-on sessions to professionals in national dentistry conferences. Ana has lived in London since 2012, but has continued to work in Portugal exclusively with aesthetic dentistry, specifically with dental bonding treatments. In London, she has been working in different practices across the capital, dedicating herself to her specialty and passion. Ana has a keen interest in working with direct composites and in improving patients’ smiles, consequently having a positive impact on their self-esteem.
Rayza graduated at Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in 2013 where she studied Dentistry. She moved to São Paulo where she started her specialisation in Restorative Dentistry at University of São Paulo, one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil. She had the opportunity to join a busy private dental practice where she worked for some years before moving to Europe.
Rayza’s services include Restorative Dentistry, Cosmetic and Facial Aesthetics, an area she is most passionate about. She is highly dedicated on understanding her clients’ needs and to provide the best treatments allowing her clients to feel safe and well looked after.
Angi originally studied Economics but came to London 13 years ago in search of travel and adventure. After travelling the world for a year, she started a job as treatment coordinator at a dental practice and then joined Smilepod as a dental assistant. She qualified as a CQC registered manager at Smilepod Soho’s studio and then in 2017 became Smilepod’s first dental hygienist.
Having a great knowledge and understanding of all aspects of dentistry, Angi is a very empathic, outgoing and caring hygienist who can deal very well with the most anxious patients putting them at ease. She will give you tips on how to achieve the best possible oral care at home and make you feel great about your smile.

Hello! My name is Ramona and I am the manager of Holborn Smilepod and probably the first person you will see. You are very welcome here – it’s a friendly place. I’ve been at Smilepod for about 5 years and I have a great team who have all stayed a long while. It’s quite unusual in dentistry to have low staff turnover and I am really proud of my team. Customer service is so important to all of us.
I first came to London in 2011 to improve my English. I learned American style English and there are differences with the conversation. I then started working at Smilepod and took my dental nursing qualification. I always loved biology so dentistry was a really natural fit for me.
If you are nervous about visiting why not come and have a chat with me? I’ve had lots of appointments myself so I know first hand what it’s like. I had my orthodontics done here with a fixed brace for a few years and it was amazing. I love my new straight smile.

From Holborn Underground. 1 minute from Holborn Underground. Leave the station at street level turn right and exit through the payment barriers signed HIGH HOLBORN / BRITISH MUSEUM. Turn right and progress along HIGH HOLBORN and make for the traffic lights and pedestrian crossing outside PRET A MANGER. Cross the road to Procter St and toward GYM BOX. Keep GYMBOX on your right-hand side and pass underneath the building that spans the road. Smilepod Holborn is 30 Meters on the right-hand side next to the bus stop.
